I’m Cora Carmack, a twenty-something writer who likes to write about twenty-something characters. I’ve done a multitude of things in my life– boring jobs (like working retail), Fun jobs (like working in a theatre), stressful jobs (like teaching), and dream jobs (like writing). I enjoy placing my characters in the most awkward situations possible, and then trying to help them get a boyfriend out of it. Awkward people need love, too. I’m a New York Times and USA Today bestseller… and a nerd (mostly the nerd part).coracarmack(at) gmail (dot) comGoodreads | Facebook | Twitter In my round of “Author Speed Dating” I asked a series of the same three questions to each author. Question 1: If you could be a character in one of the author’s books that are here, which one would you be and why? Cora chose Alex (Alexandria) from Jennifer Armentrout’s Covenant Series. Cora’s reasoning, because she thinks that she is “super kickass” and she has Aiden. Cora likes that Alex is super confident and funny too. Question 2: If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title would be? “Awkward” —- I am still trying to figure this one out LOL – I don’t think there is anything awkward about Cora! Last but not least (this one seemed to stump mostly everyone): Question 3: You are invited to a large cocktail party at a country club. When you arrive, the room where the party is being held is already over half full of people. How do they react to you when you enter the room? Cora thinks that she would kind of wind her way into the room – inch by inch …. just be standing there … playing on her phone (LOL – what honesty… how many of us do that?!?) … and hope that no one notices her. Well, I think that Cora is being a bit rough on herself there! So, the next time I see her at a country club cocktail party, I will have to make sure the opposite happens! Ya know, we always go to country club parties together….. HA! Virginity. Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible– a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves her potential sexual partner alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if if that weren’t embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She’d left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier. Book #2 in the Losing It Series
