I received an ARC of this novella for an honest review
Walking Away is a novella and is very short…..only 60 pages. I typically do not read stories this short unless they are a novella based off of another book. As you may be learning by now about me I love to get a great connection going with the characters. The story being so short left me wanting more development of the characters and more of their relationship developing. There was a lot that did happen in those 60 pages so you will certainly not be bored, I just wished I got a “bigger picture” of the story. If you are looking for a quick short read with a good happily ever after, then this story is for you. My feeling of not having a “full” enough story, is just my way of reading and has no reflection on the author. Reading this book did give me the opportunity to be introduced to a new author and I would be very interested in reading a novel by her. Luckily for all of us, Adriane is currently writing her first full length novel titled ‘You Just Know’, which is targeted to release near the end of the year. So, keep an eye out for this new release.
